Email troubleshooting
Eudora for Mac OS
After each step check your email, and if it doesn't work move on to the next step.
- Make sure all your neccessary equipment is turned on, and the lights are on and flashing (e.g.
modem/network card, computer station, monitor, etc...). If something is unplugged or not turned on
plug in all cables and turn on all the power.
- Can you browse the internet? Yes: continue with troubleshooting, No: Call or email us or
contact us.
- Next check your Eudora settings to assure everything is correct. For help on this go to the
Eudora for Mac setup setup page.
- In the settings dialog box for Eudora select the Checking Mail menu and check the following:
- Your username is all lowercase letters
- Your mail server is set to mail.your domain name (ie: mail.jackshomebrew.com)
- Your mail protocol is set to POP and authentication is set to Passwords
- If after attempting these procedures you are still unable to access your mail, call or email us or
contact us.

Outlook Express for Mac

assure everything is correct. For help on this go to the Outlook
Express for Mac setup page.
- In the accounts dialog box for Outlook
Express double click on your account name and check the following:
- Your Account ID is all lowercase letters
- Your POP server is set to mail.your domain name (ie: mail.jackshomebrew.com)
- Your SMTP server is set to mail.your domain name (ie: mail.jackshomebrew.com)
- Press OK and try to check your email
- If after attempting these procedures you are still unable to access your mail, call or email us or
contact us.
Outlook 95/97/2000 or Outlook Express for Windows
After each step check your email, and if it doesn't work move on to the next step.
- Make sure all your neccessary
equipment is turned on, and the lights are on and flashing (e.g. modem/network card, computer
station, monitor, etc...). If something is unplugged or not turned on plug in all cables and turn on
all the power.
- Can you browse the internet?
Yes: continue with troubleshooting
No: Call or email us or contact us.
- Next check your Outlook settings to
assure everything is correct. For help on this go to the Outlook
and Outlook Express for Windows setup page.
- In the accounts dialog box for Outlook make sure you have the Mail tab selected, then double click on your account name and check the following:
- On the Servers tab, your POP3 server is set to mail.jackshomebrew.com (ie: mail.jackshomebrew.com)
- Your SMTP server is set to mail.your domain name (ie: mail.jackshomebrew.com)
- Your Account name is all lowercase letters
- Remember password is check, but nothing else is checked
- On the Advanced tab make sure your Outgoing mail (SMTP) port is set to 25, and the This server requires a secure connection
box below it is not checked.
- Make sure your Incoming mail (POP3) port is set to 110, and the This server requires a secure connection box below it is not checked.
- Press OK and try to check your email
- If after attempting these procedures you are still unable to access your mail, call or email us or
contact us.
Netscape Messenger for Mac
After each step check your email, and if it doesn't work move on to the next step.
- Make sure all your neccessary equipment is turned on, and the lights are on and flashing (e.g. modem/network card, computer station, monitor, etc...).
If something is unplugged or not turned on plug in all cables and turn on all the power.
- Can you browse the internet?
Yes: continue with troubleshooting
No: Call or email us contact us.
- Next check your Netscape settings to
assure everything is correct. For help on this go to the Netscape

Netscape Messenger for Windows
